My mother was diagnosed with ALS in 2005. I'm her primary caregiver, and it is definitely devastating, and has limited options for care. In fact, all we can do is make her comfortable. There are so many issues with this disease that I cannot even begin to describe. It is horrible. So, if you get a chance to ride, please do. It's for a good cause, and as another person pointed out, it's not talked about much. It should be. :-/
