It depends whether the BB shell had round or oval sockets. Columbus and Nova have 0.8 mm stays in ROR or full oval. Some MTB stays from Nova or True Temper are thicker (0.9 or 1.0 mm) but have a bend. 700x35 is going to be tricky without the bend. I managed to fit a 38 mm tire in ROR 435 mm c-c stays but I need to deflate the tire to take the wheel out (because of the fender).
