I feel like I'm not being held back by my cheapish china carbon bike yet, I'm being held back 99% by my body. It's crazy how much some of the other cat 5 guys have already invested into their setups though... a lot of guys are running super nice wheels worth more than my entire setup combined. I thought I was in pretty good shape and would be able to hang, or maybe it's just that there's so many competitive (and rich) guys here in Cali that makes cat 5 tougher than usual, but I've got a long ways to go before I'll be competitive. This was only my 2nd race, I'm going to keep racing and see how it goes, but I really need to step up my training.
