State schools in Cal are running over 20k a year. there is minimal to no scholarship money. Most students need t 5 years to get a degree do to lack of classes. The local paper had an article that said going to harvard was cheaper than going to San Jose State in what you had to write checks for because there was more financial aid available at Harvard. A number of people I know are running numbers and finding that private schools with a 4 year graduation may be a better total cost deal than other schools with five year graduation.
