Spring isn't all that far away and I have decided that I would like to buy a road bike this year after trying to get everything I can out of my 98 Gary Fisher Wahoo that I used to used to deliver papers. I have been looking at the Raleigh Revenio 3.0 and the Giant Defy 1 because my budget is hopefully around $1,000-$1,200. After I left a shop today where I looked at a few bikes I called my old college roommate who is now a Shimano rep. He said that he is looking to sell his bike which is a 2009 Giant TCR Advanced 3. He said the frame has about 4000 miles on it and the wheels and components only have about 1000 miles because he swapped everything out for Ultegra Di2 components after the first year riding it. Is this bike worth $800 in excellent condition? He said he would include pedals with it and throw in a different saddle too.
