Dual trail weekend upcoming, and I'm very proud of my wife
The last two Sundays were spent riding the Seminole Wekiva trail with family. The first weekend we all turned around 8 miles out, which was the furthest some members had ridden. Last weekend, the early crew turned around at 11 miles, and 3 of us rode till the end, 14 miles. When we got back to the trail head, my wife said she could have ridden further, she was happy, and having fun. My wife has said she has no interest in riding a century, she prefers to walk, has no interest in competitive cycling of any kind, but 28 miles wasn't too far. I wonder how far I can get her to go?
This coming Saturday, we will be riding with extended family, either the Seminole Wekiva again, or the Spring to spring in Volusia county. I figured that would be all the riding for her this weekend, but then she asked what time Tour de Withlacoochie started on Sunday. I am a very proud hubby right now. She may wimp out if the temperature doesn't climb out of the 40s, but I am still impressed.
