It may be a perspective issue but it looks to me like the mount is angled down from the bars. Maybe leveling it or angling it up a bit will relieve the pressure on the cables.

Also maybe you could also loosen the tape near the stem and slide the cables a bit so they come out a just little bit under the bar and away from the mount.
