Seriously though, I'm thinking of getting a logo. The narrower top surface doesn't matter to me and I like the idea of the panniers being lower and further back. I'd be using it on a CX bike that has chainstays that are short enough that I have had heel strike problems.
According to an article in Bicycling Magazine, back when they were actually informative, moving the panniers on the back down and further back has deleterious effects on the handling unlike moving the front bags down and away.
