Brian- You do bring up good points. And I have to admit that I am less concerned about a SMALL hole in a stem then some other parts. But the consequences of being wrong and the other options convince me that i wouldn't do this. One bit of information we haven't yet been told is the stem's wall thickness. This bell mounting begs for a more creative solution. Andy.
