Flat tire, pumped it up and its not gone back down. An anomaly?
Got back from my first ride on my new bike on Saturday. On Sunday I took the bike from the garage and there was no flat tire, everything normal, didn´t go for a ride, just put the bike back in the garage after putting some new bar ends on. For sure the tire pressure was still not noticeably lower.
On Monday the front tire was completely flat.... Darn... assumed it was a puncture, and likely a slow puncture as it had took 2 days to go down. So, I pumped it back up to see how long it would take to go down again. I´ve just checked and the tire is still at exactly the same pressure that I pumped it up to on Monday..... Strange I´m thinking.. very strange.
Was this just some anomaly where the tire went down for no reason? Can this happen? I´m a little reluctant to take the tire off and check it over if it doesn´t go flat again in the next 48 hours, or should I do so to check 100%?
The only thing i´m thinking is that it went down because maybe the Presta valve wasn't securely tightened or something of that nature. Could there be any other explanation?
The wheel/tire is a 29er Continental Race King 29inch 2.2 - Stock option on my Corratec bike and brand new.
