why you needed a new chain. Chains elongate as they wear, which accellerates wear to your rear sprocket. That's the "why". Your chain is worn to the point where riding the bike has destroyed your cassette and probably your chainrings. What else would you like to know? I promise to explain it civilly and calmly.
