When I was 5 or 6 years old, my dad was a hobbyist motorcycle racer in east Texas. About that time, a couple young brothers named Hayden were about 9 and 11 and smoking everybody. On 600s. Then, 8 years later, I got to see the same Nicky Hayden race MotoGP in Indianapolis.
