Looking for some advice as to if it is worth rebuilding or just selling a Peugeot

Hi all,

I'll be as detailed as I can here, and I also have quite a few pictures to illustrate my points to, so I hope that some of you can give some advice.

I have a Northern Star Polaris 10, that I have with Shimano journey Gears and stock brakes, nothing special, it only cost me about $50.00 and it's a means to an end. Recently a friend sold me his old Peugeot Izoard(Izoand?) frame for $5. It seems to be a much lighter frame than my current bike and I am interested in either fixing it up, or swapping the needed parts from my northern star onto the Peugeot.

The Peugeot has no front or back wheels, and the all the rear gears are missing as well, other than that it's in relatively good condition, with all other pieces in place. Clearly I'm not an expert on these matters, and before I take them both down to my LBS, I'd prefer to know if I'm wasting my time, and that of the Mechanic in the store.

So my quandry is this: should I chop up my northern star for parts for the peugeot? or sell the peugeot frame as is (and if so what would be a reasonable price, I live in Melbourne Aus)? or look to get better parts for the peugeot(because it's a great frame in your opinion) and then sell the Northern star once the peugeots rebuilt?

Please see all attached pictures, and if you have any questions or requests for further information that would help you to answer my question, of course let me know.

Cheers,

4legs.
