they do not "hate" us because we break minor traffic statutes (they do this every frakking trip), they "hate" us because we challenge their road
supremacy. and the only virtuous cycle i have seen was critical mass. these rides showed motorists in pdx (and many other cities) that cyclists
belong on the road.
