Yes it does. There is even a car in the train with a silhouette of a bicycle beside the door and suggested parking inside. Bikes travel for free and are welcome on the trains except for rush-hour. I am living in close proximity to "The City Canada Revolves Around" and my experience has been similar to yours: Everything but swim !! As long as the bikes are like these ones, its a pleasure to play with them and I get to meet some very nice people. And their friends. And sometimes their mothers and fathers, too.
Driving into Toronto is an experience not to be repeated unless absolutely necessary. Toronto has the worst highways and the worst traffic in Ontario, if not all of North America.
