This is one album http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kind_of_Blue that absolutely does it for me, has been doing it since I first heard it in 1972 and has been played constantly ever since. The dissonance, beauty, melody, it all takes me to a place of serene beauty. The way the music moves, seems to change with every time listened to, some new element coming out. At times I worry it will fall into cutesy melodic riffs, then it just skirts away, just in time and keeping the beauty intact. It is one album I always have with me.
