Hello I posted about my bike in the "how much is it worth" forum and they told me to try the hybrid form. I have a 1997 Cannondale Silk Road 7-speed. I was doing a little searching on the web as I was going to add some fenders and start riding to work. While looking I found it referred to as the "rarest hybrid" and some guy was asking more than $5k for one. There were some expired Craigslist ads in the 2-3k range. Anybody know what is up here? I plan on beating the hell out of this thing, so if it worth more than 1k I will sell it and get something that I can spray paint and not perform maintenance on.

5k for old Cannondale?
