All the Cannondale racing bikes from that era shared the same frame. The only differences were in components.

OK, see below, if it is an ST400, they had a slightly different frame (not the racing frame).

So this bike has a really good frame, with mediocre components (indexed Suntour). And Cannondales are almost timeless. A 25 year old Cannondale looks like a modern bike, so it attracts buyers not interested in a vintage bike. I've always gotten strong response on Cannondales. I've got one in the disaster pile right now.
