Bikes: 1961 Ideor, 1966 Perfekt 3 Speed AB Hub, 1994 Bridgestone MB-6, 2006 Airnimal Joey, 2009 Thorn Sherpa, 2013 Thorn Nomad MkII, 2015 VO Pass Hunter, 2017 Lynskey Backroad, 2017 Raleigh Gran Prix, 1980s Bianchi Mixte on a trainer. Others are now gone.

Make sure you can get your bike in a bike box before you get to airport. That includes removing pedals. I can't think of a worse way to start a trip than have something go wrong before you even get on the plane. And beware of the dreaded airport scale that checks to see if your luggage is a few ounces over 50 pounds. I carry a small electronic scale to weigh my luggage, if too heavy then something has to go into my carry on.

In this age of internet and cell phones, you should have no problems. If something broke on your bike a couple decades ago, you might have a really bad day.

Have a great time.
