OP, if I recall correctly, your office is in like and industrial park setting, correct? Your boss may not be willing to let you bring the bike inside, but installing a bike rack may not be a viable option either. First, the building may be leased and so any 'improvements' or 'modifications' would have to be approved by the property management company. Secondly, unless you're the equivalent of a franchise player and your resigning spells doom for the company, the odds are not good if you expect them to pony up the dough to install a rack just for your benefit.

Depending on the nature of your business, one option to possibly explore would be to see if the company has any plans of parking a large van, box truck, or 28' semi trailer out near the curb as a billboard (very popular here in Redneckistan) and if so, you could always ask permission to lock your bike in that.
