Man, I would hate to be compelled to ride on that awful path. It's narrow, has unpredictable "other" users, and those areas where you have to swerve to miss the parked cars looks dangerous. Is there a speed limit? If so, it must take you forever to get anywhere. And if I were a pedestrian, I would be screaming about the danger cyclists present.

actually, it's kind of interesting because i still have a rolling average of 24km/h (or 15mph)
peds are actually quite good about getting out of the way with a bell. people do get hit occasionally and it ends up being the legal responsibility of the ped if they were not in the correct area, like the workers near the end of the video.
but, yeah, some streets are a mess.
