So far I am completely infatuated with my Colnago but the single bottle braze ons has me nervous for longer summer rides. I've got a Tommasini for many of these longer rides but due to sentimental value, there are some places and conditions I would rather not subject it to.

Anyway, I briefly debated clamps but it seemed wrong to do this on the Joe Bell paint:




The solution I decided to try is a simple Minoura abh-80. It is a simple steel bracket designed to hold a single cage.





My initial reaction is that it won't work with every post/saddle combo, but otherwise seems like a reasonable option. I may not keep it on the bike, but it quickly installs with two bolts if i need to throw in on for a century or multi day (supported) ride. At $7 it only needs to save me from dehydration once.
