I've been looking at some of the litespeed stuff and the cannondale six13 stuff. Both brands sell titanium/carbon bikes.
If I ever were to buy a titanium bike it would be one with a carbon fork AND carbon seatstays/chainstays.
Both litespeed and cannondale have such bikes. Both of their offerings are compelling.
Can someone compare for me the advantages or disadvantages of such bikes....performance, handling, etc. versus a full carbon fiber frame bike?
I went into a bike shop the other day and was totally amazed when I held both a litespeed tachyon and a cannondale six13 si.
THEY BOTH WERE EXTREMELY LIGHT!
I wasn't prepared for that. I started to consider the possibility of getting a titanium/carbon combo instead of a full carbon bike.......although that tcr composite I saw was compelling as well.
Ok so can someone review the litespeed stuff and the cannondale six13 si? For instance, the six 13 has a top tube and a downtube partially made up of carbon which I find unique. But how does that differ in performance vs a full titanium frame with carbon fork and seatstays and how does that also differ from a full carbon bike.
Alot to consider.....alot to discuss.
