Hardshells have a more reinforced/ (twice) sturdy sidewall than the typical gator. Both are heavy unfortunately; the hardshell weighing more of course as a result of the addition.
I usually run GP4000s's but I'm running Mavic Yksion powerlink's to change things up after snagging them on chainlove.
