It makes matters a little worse though when you crash and break your brake lever and can no longer shift because of it. When on most other brake / shifter combination you can still shift with a broken brake lever. It also comes into play when you have to replace them, it's not like you can just replace a cheap brake lever.

BTW When quoting please do not cut the sentence off. Use the whole sentence so that it will show the entire thought of the person you are quoting.
