I've gotten mildly interested in picking up an entry-level "comfort hybrid" bike. I test-rode a Raleigh Venture and a Specialized Expedition and liked them both. Only trouble is that neither of them comes with a chainguard, and I really would prefer to have one. Is it possible to install an aftermarket chainguard on either of these models?
Both of the ones I was looking at were single-ring 7-speeds. The Raleigh has a 40T chainring, and the expedition has a 42.
I would just ask the dealer in the morning, they would know for sure. And maybe they might throw one in for free, but my guess is they do not make one..
