She didn't give me much detail on the dorm option, but let me add this opinion:
The 12-room block has a lot of flexibility and more amenities.
Remember, the rooms are either double beds or a king, and there's a repair room.
The co-owner has done the RAGBRAI and the DD before.
The dorm option seems more tenuous, and will probably happen last-minute, if it does. I like certainty. The dorm option includes space on the floor, I believe.

Locking in the dinner and swap helped me a lot, leaves me less to worry about. Please read bibliobob's comments above and PM back to me on your suggestions for the swap/show day/time. I'm open to about anything, but I do want to keep control of it via this thread.

I think what I'll do is set up a personal spreadsheet with available rooms that we have reserved amongst us. In my case, I also have 3 nights reserved at the Dairyland Motel, etc, as does another member, and another is holding his reservation at the Quality Inn. As things change, I'll change the spreadsheet. People can contact me here and I'll try to set things up, and let them know the availability of what I know about.

Some want Friday only, some want Friday and Saturday, and some want Thursday/Friday/Saturday, so as I get committments, I'll fill in the spreadsheet and send it to each person for a "final" committment.
