I have the same rim and tire brands as you on the front wheel of 14 year old German Vaterland. I get 15,000 miles on the front tires with no flats. I use Schwalbe tubes with no problems, seldom even have to add air.
I'm pretty sure the back tire tube is original. The front tire tube has been replaced twice by what the bike shop has in stock, so I'm sure it is not top quality.

Are the tubes experiencing blowouts when you are off the bike? If so you might have a hole in the tire letting the tube expand then blowout; or using tubes from a bad manufacturing lot. If not blowing out, I can't figure out why you can't add air.
I have not replaced the tire, but it looks like it has plenty of life on the tread. I'm going to order some Schwalbe inner tubes. Should I consider replacing the tire as well?
