Yeah, this is true.

Longer report to follow, but at this point - two races, two podiums.

However, on this issue, I call BS.
Saying you went to CU and didn't party is like saying you're a rock star and don't do drugs. Or, you're a priest and don't like boys. Or, you won the TdF on pan y agua.
For real. I lived in Denver, took the bus to Boulder or rode to Boulder (72 mile round-trip). Did homework on the bus, took 17-21 credit hours, was a TA, and worked 20 hours during school at my internship making games. We also had just bought our first house, and I was remodeling it a little at a time. A party for me was sleeping.
Paid cash for school, got out in 4 years, and turned a $10k down payment into $110k sale on the home in 3 years. Not easy, but worth it.

One of the guys I was with got an order of Nookies (deep fried chocolate chip cookies), so I had one of those as well.
We had a really good race that ended in tears (at about 10 minutes from the end we were in the lead and pulling away when we crashed). I was drowning my sorrows in food. I ate more (and worse) than I've eaten in a _long_ time.
Anyway, I highly recommend taking a stab at this place.

Good joint, but they sell Pepsi, and it's a chain

Glad you got to see some of that area. Those are the cool parts of Austin. There are plenty of great rides in the burbs, but if you're on foot, that's a good place to be.
