I seat ons side of the tire bead so the rim holds the tire in form. I only use 5-10 psi if that to form the tube (I blow it up with my mouth). Then I push a short section in at a time. I use 4 fingers to "push it up into the tire", then use my thumbs to set the oppostie side of the bead immediately after so it doesn't get pinched. I work in maybe 4 - 6 inch sections.
My english not so gud.

I meant exactly what you said, the start about 8 inches away from the stem and work my way around (away from the stem) so that the LAST part is next to the stem. the tire is more certain to be not pinched there and of course, that's a good trick with the stem to make sure.

I usually also pump the tire up, work the bead, deflate and then reinflate to make sure. I have problems when I get lazy though. Ahem.

More pics will follow when the bike's done. I should really go finish it now, but I've been on conference calls all day. Posting while on a call - easy. Working on bike while on a call - hard.
