I also have an older Tamron 28-105 f/2.8 35mm lens for Nikons, handed down from my dad, that I use on Nikon DSLR's. The smaller CMOS sensor makes the effective focal length 42-158, but man it sure is nice to have f/2.8 available at full zoom.
That was a $1K lens back in the 90's.
