The point, more than facial hair being proper or improper, is yours looks like ass. It does not give the appropriate appearance for an interview such as you would go on. The rule of thumb is if you're not sure shave. Sure meaning you're some distinguished old guy with a great salt and pepper thing going on and a zillion year history of it.
