DONE!
Crikey. I will need to go over the various fasteners again in the morning with a torque wrench, the saddle is much more level (that two bolt system is actually kind of slick now that I'm getting used to it) and the shifter cables are all installed and tightened down. The brakes are WAY too tight - I have to leave them in the open position to get the wheels to move but I reckon they'll loosen up pretty quick with some braking.
Garmin installed, speed sensor installed, wheels are still magically inflated... all I really need to do is put the little cable ends on and tape the bars. I want to make sure the shifters are where I want them, a short ride will tell me all I need to know. It's ride-able right now though!
Interestingly, the bars are 2 inches closer on this bike than my last bike - I did move the saddle up a bit and the seat post is different, but i wonder if the guy mis labeled the bike when he sold it. Hm. I was tempted to get a smaller bike this time around until i accidentally won this one.
Sitting back with a nice glass of Twomey Pinot Noir... kids are in bed, wife's in London, dog is wrapped around my feet. Life is good.
