Hallo everyone!
I have bought recently nice bike from '30. Frame is pretty nice, but wheels and fenders have some rusty parts, also chromes are not perfect. I have read some posts and blogs about restoration and have build such system:
- WD-40 + steel wool 000 for cleaning everything except painting
- Brasso or similar for chrome polishing
- something line Car Scratch Doctor for paint preparation
- Car Wax for metal protect and polishing

but I am still not sure about such things:
- can I use wax on clear metal?
- can I use it on metal which were oiled before (wd-40 cleaning) or should I clean it?
- the same problem with brasso after wd-40
- and of course - do you see a better solution or mistakes?
I do not want to repaint.
