Yeah I guess sometimes when you get the worst, you can end up seeing the best.

I read this thread the other day, and decided not to post because I was angry at the hypocritical, uneducated and otherwise nasty attitude of some of the posters.

I won't even get on the soap box to point out what was unfair and mean spirited about the posts, that's been done well enough...

But as a newbie commuter who (admittedly) wants to belong in this community and is all jazzed about being one less car, etc. it's no fun to know that I'm being associated with people who react to those that are different from them in this way.

Who are we kidding? The stereotype is already there to begin with... with some of the responses in this post, I think we've all seen a little bit of why that's the case.
