Wednesday, March 5, 2013. Big storm front that started in montana and dumped large amounts of snow across the midwest. We ended up with close to 7 inches. I started out at 3:45am. Snow was still falling. The side streets had anywhere from 4 to 6 inches. I tried riding down what tire tracks there were but kept riding out of them and ending up having a handlebar wrestling contest. So I rode thru the untouched deep stuff, shifting to the middle ring and getting a good rhythm going spinning the pedals. High street in Worthington had been plowed earlier, but was due for another. 161 thru Linworth was about the same. There was no traffic so I rode down the middle of the road and made good time. The final quarter mile to work was a quagmire, but it was manageable as I zig zagged , wrestling with the handlebars trying to stay in the tire track. 31°f.
