Road ID...

Well, a week ago I was looking through a Bicycling magazine and found myself reading the Road ID ad closely. For some background, now that I am single I will be riding solo 99% of the time, till I get into club rides a little. I decided, for a whopping $20 (a chain cost more and doesnt last as long) It was a good idea. Some people say they are over-priced, however $20 is cheap and I don't even make that in an hour. If something was to happen to me out on a ride, it would be nice if the first responder or just a passer-by could call my family. My home number and my dad's number are on it.

The bracelet arrived today, I got the basic "sport" wrist band with nylon band and velcro, in black (ah...should have gone for bright yellow, bands are cheap though). I will say its a high quality ID bracelet. I have an allergy to benadryl, and I feel that is important for a first responder to know, as I do get allergies in spring and late summer. Not sure that allergy will kill me, but it could sure complicate things!

I know there are cheaper options. But I am happy with the money I spent. If anyone is interested in one, PM me I have a few codes for $1 off. Zero affiliation with the company, but I have thought of getting one before, just never did. A little peace of mind for not much cash. Going to store it on my helmet strap, that way I will never forget it on a ride...

I would post a picture but I would have to blank out the ID part...and it looks EXACTLY as it does on their site!
