Can't even change a tire....

I attempted to put NEW Conti GP 3000 on my Shimano 550 wheelset and spent :30 on the front tire to finally get the tire on the rim and inflated to 110psi. After celebrating by cracking open a cold one and happy for not screaming profanities during the process, I hear the familiar "CRACK!". I must have pinched the tube. I spent another :30 on the back tire without any success and finally gave up.

Is there a secret? Here's a guy who is a gym rat, who, in my day, benched 315 and squated 550 and watch in awe of these 140 lbs shop guys put these tires on without breaking a sweat. Is there a leverage technique for these stubborn tires?

Going to the LBS now and bring them lunch.
