Hill Repeats and Side Cramps
Had a small bowl of oatmeal and headed out for a Saturday ride. Gorgeous weather, perfect temperature with just a slight wind. I was riding strong and so started doing hill repeats to get some climbing in. About an hour into it had a gel pack and had drunk about a half bottle of water. But here is the deal about 1.5 hours in started climbing when a side cramp, upper right hand side hit and almost forced me to stop to catch my breath. I went ahead and finished the hill...although very, very slowly...and headed home. While the cramp eased off, it was severe enough when it hit that I want to try to figure out what happened. Anybody ever dealt with something similar?
