What is the concensus then, Does powdercoating a CV frame hurt it's value?
I noticed that for some reason, a good bunch of C&Vers seems to be off-put by PC on an old frame. Other than the possible problems with the stuff getting into threads and other tolerance sensitive component "fit areas". I also heard of concerns about PC being hard to strip off a frame, if need be in the future. I've been considering having a project bike frame PC'd because of the relatively lmuch lower cost, compared to having it painted professionally, plus the finish results with PC seems to be really good, most of the time..........
So, can a C&Ver have a rare old frame PC'd without getting too much flak from the flock??
