I weigh 195# and I get about the same mileage out of Michelin Kryliums (now Pro4 Endurance). And I always rotate front to back--never the other direction. Because like the OP said, all the wear is on the back.

...And I consider a tire completely worn when I begin to see the belt. Works for me!
