Gotcha. And, yeah, I think any quality double butted spoke will make for a nice wheelset.

I've never used alloy nipples, but I gather you'll be fine if you use a spoke prep of some type and don't ride your bike in salt water. So long as you do that I can't imagine it would cause an issue whatsoever to to throw an alloy nipple or two in there. I've seen that on several wheelsets.
