i used to triathlons, but i didnt enjoy the running or the swimming aspect, plus i only trained for the bike (still more than enough to consistantly win ag, and do well overal, but just never enjoyed running, let alone running more than 5k). I moved on to cycling, and noticed how much stronger the average rider is than the average, or even good tri-geek is, and enjoyed the competition. Pro tri-geeks are good at everything, but it's rare to see a regular triathlete be good at more than one sport, and by good i mean they could maybe not get their butts handed to them by the local runners, or cyclists, and deffinitly the swimmers (hell i was always first out of the water, and i had not swam competitively in a couple of years).
