OK, I took off the cable guide and got the serial umber. It is an 83 600. That's what I originally thought, except it has a 7 speed freewheel and 700 cc rims and tires. The bike appears almost new, so I doubt anyone ever did any work on it. I guess whoever got it new must have had built up like that? Anyway, thanks for the input.
