For what its worth i ride on the drops most of the time (75%) and the remainder on the hoods.

Not sure on the cranks, etc... i'll have to look those up but i was fitted on both bikes; although, they have different geometry.

You must be wearing the wrong color spandex Seriously, you probably are not pushing yourself as hard, with the fixed gear there was no choice. Try like the other poster said, and find the same gear inches on your road bike. Try here : http://sheldonbrown.com/gears/
