New UL touring and bikepacking rig by mmeiser2, on Flickr

I just completed this rig and decided to break it in by riding from the Toledo area 190 miles down to the 10th annual Gravel Grouser classic in Athens, OH. It is monsterous fun in the hills and as set up can handle 99% of roads in america, paved, and unpaved so I have freedom to roam anywhere regardless of the quality or type of roads. Even some light trail use.

Most pleasing feature. Actually fit 40mm WTB happy medium tires which means it will rock and roll with my 38mm studded shwalbes when it comes to it next winter. Make no mistake though I will be rocking this on 23mm tires all summer long on ohios perfectly paved backroads.

specs:
Trek Cronus Ultimate carbon frame
Whiskey carbon wheels / DT 240hubs
Ultegra 34x50crank and front der
Shimano 105shifter
XT rear derailleur
Sram 12x32 cassette
Bontrager race lite handlebar, RXL stem, carbon seatpost
Time ATAC pedals
WTB Happy medium 40mm tires
AVID shortybrakes

a lot more shots, mostly winter are posted here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/ultrali...iser2/?view=md
