There are more than a few of us who would fit in the 4:30-4:50 start group.

How many 40k TT's do you find around the N. Island? I'm curious, 'cause after this years Taupo I suspect I'll be moving my focus to TT and pursuiting. Even club nationals is only 25k for Masters2, if I read the registration correctly. How long was that previous TT that you aimed for your first >40kph on?

The Flyer is April 6th if you're interested. They've reversed the course this year. It's starting in Taupo and finishing in Rotorua. Should be fun. I suspect the initial climb out of Taupo may do a better job of seperating the field than previous years.

We'll definately get a clyde group together for Taupo though. I can just imagine Waihi to Hatepe with a team of clydesdale locomotives doing the pulling:-)
Ambitious for me too. 4:44 is my previous best.

The Masters club in Wellington puts a big focus on TT's - I've done a few of their's. And my club does a few a year as well. There's some great courses in the Wairarapa. It was the 25km TT in Whanganui at the Club Nationals. Broke 40km/hr there but haven't done it for a 40km TT.

Would be a blast to have a bunch of big guys hammering it round Taupo - but it's hard to stay together. But at least we'd be able to find each other easily

Won't be at the Flyer - but 250 days till Taupo
