how is it in Canada, do you have the same "ban" on unpasteurized dairy products that the US has?
also, IIRC, food in MTL was crazy expensive, on par with Norway/Switzerland. I was shocked at diary prices when I was there last. my buddy mentioned a diary "cartel", so to speak.
My sister-in-law's parents in a small town south of Montreal used to have their own goats and make their own goat cheese and sell it at the local farmer's market (unpasteurized). The story is that the Premier of Quebec visited the market, tried and bought some of the cheese but when the news media posted the story, whatever ministry is in charge of food came down hard on the market and others that sold unpasteurized cheese so her parent's can't sell it anymore although they can make it for themselves. No one they know of has knowingly become sick from their cheese. Maybe it's a government black op-funded dairy cartel.
