For reference (may not be useful info), i've already done two century's on the fixie and have ridden ~115 miles per week the past few weeks.
What i've picked up from the replies which is most likely the issue is that i probably sub-consciously dont put forward as much effort given i know i can coast opposed to the fixed gear where i have to pedal and can only pedal faster to go faster (no gears).
I'm a bit of a nerd so i do a lot of reading as to not get confused or confuse myself.
Yea little beer belly's are ugly, it looks like your body's confused.
