Index shifting presents a problem with the top of the DT shifting arrangements. In order to get my 7s DA to index and not keep getting out of adjustment (on my Motta), I had to run cable housings for the rear inside of the DT and chain stay. The front didn't care. You'll have to deal with the cable run from the DT cable entry point to the shifters. I had a 1/2";, yours will be extending to the bars.
